Hope's Story

  • 13 February 2009 |

My name is Hope and I was rescued by a little boy and brought to the people at the clinic in Cancun. I have a really amazing story! My mother decided she didn't want me any longer. She kept putting me on the street but I kept coming home because I was scared. So she told her children to take me to the woods and tie me to a tree to die. But it was my lucky day.

A local boy heard that his friends were taking me to the woods and this boy ran to the clinic and told everyone. I was then brought to the clinic and there I was tested for distemper and given a bath and some vaccinations. Before I knew it I was on an airplane with the founder of CANDi and now I live in Canada with my wonderful new family. In fact, I am extra lucky because I was adopted with another Mexican puppy who was also at the clinic. Her name is Dotty and is pictured here with me on our parents bed. We don't know Dotty's story, except I heard that she is very lucky too because her fate would not have been kind. That doesn't matter now because we love our life and our family.
